Orbx Releases TrueEarth US Oregon

Just 6 days after its official formal announcement earlier this week, scenery house Orbx have released their second American TrueEarth region, centred around the Beaver State - Oregon.

Developer Ben McClintock had this to say about his brand's latest creation in a post on the Orbx Forum;

"As with TrueEarth US Washington, Oregon is packed full of features which make for an immersive flying experience unlike any other. This state has such a varied landscape, from forests to mountains, from deserts to coastlines - and we have filled it with accurately placed bridges, parks, train tracks, craters, and lighthouses. This pack covers a whopping 94,755 square miles (245,415 sq km) so there is always something new to discover."

TrueEarth US Oregon has almost 3,000,000 buildings and 600 specialised Points of Interest (POIs) within its 245,415 square kilometre borders.

As with the previous TrueEarth release, Oregon as standard is dubbed "SD" for Standard Definition. The High Definition "HD" version brings orthoimagery quality up from 2.4 metres/pixel to 1.2m/px (roughly ZL16 to ZL17). The SD version takes up only 63GB of disk space compared to 225GB for the HD edition.
