SkyMaxx Pro v4.7 released

Maxx-XP and Sundog Software have today released SkyMaxx Pro version 4.7. This follows the announcement from FS Global Real Weather that the brands are partnering up to offer a complete weather solution.

We previously covered the first screenshots of v4.7 early last month, where it was announced that it will bring support for Virtual Reality (VR), as well as the removal of the three cloud layer limitation of X-Plane. Cumulus clouds have also been adjusted to be more naturally represented, and the performance of V4.7 has been improved over the previous version.

Here is the full change-log:

  • Exposes new FSGRW / External Injector mode for Real Weather Connector users, offering tighter integration with FSGRW for localised weather effects and cloud types specific to FSGRW. This mode may also be used with other external injectors such as Active Sky that modify X-Plane's METAR.rwx file, but FSGRW will provide more accurate cloud types when used.
  • Improved cloud visuals, and reduced artifacts from cloud puffs
  • Initial VR support
  • Increased maximum cloud draw area and default cloud draw area setting
  • Various performance improvements and bug fixes

To update to v4.7, simply re-download the product from X-Aviation.
