Scenery developers, Sierrasim Simulations, have been working over the past couple of weeks developing their Olaya Herrera Airport (SKMD) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The scenery features both the airport and the surrounding city of Medellín along with aerial images of the environment.

This follows the scenery’s first announcement in mid-March of 2021. Following its initial announcement, Sierrasim posted the scenery’s release today on the group’s Facebook Page. Sierrasim had also posted several preview images before its release.

Along with the announcement, Sierrasim attached a feature list which you can check out below:

  • Aerial images of the environment
  • Detailed airport terminals
  • Surrounding buildings
  • Hangars
  • Emblematic buildings of the city of Medillín (Coltejer Building, Alpujarra Building, EPM Building, Atanasio Girardot Stadium, Bancolombia Building)
  • Optimized for good performance
  • Platform night lights
  • Effects on objects

The team even posted a promotional video of both the airport and city on their YouTube channel. You can check out the video shown below:

Olaya Herrera Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator is available for purchase on the Sierrasim Store for $11.99.

You can check out more of the team’s work on their Facebook Page.
