Nimbus Simulations have just published new previews of their upcoming BN-2 Islander at Westray airport, a Scottish airport known for having the world’s shortest flight.

The BN-2 Islander is a twin-engine piston aeroplane known for its short takeoff and landing distance capability. It is also used by Loganair in Scotland to service the world’s shortest commercial flight between Westray and Papa Westray.

Nimbus Simulations Studios also teased us on the aircraft’s imminent release:

“....Very soon!”

Can also be seen in the previews is the Highlands Park livery, this scheme was painted on the Islander G-BDLV  from roughly 2009 to 2013 and is an advert for a Scottish Distillery. The developer also included previews in the Facebook post of a Scottish Ambulance Service livery as well as an OLT one. OLT is a german airline that services the island of Helgoland.

Nimbus also previewed the plane’s weight and balance menu as well as the maintenance menu. When the add-on was announced in April, the developer had confirmed that the aeroplane had an active failure system.

The add-on was announced a month ago, check out our original article. Nimbus now has multiple aircraft in their product line-up, check them out on the X-Plane.org Store
