X-Crafts Releases ERJ Family 2.0 for X-Plane 12

X-Crafts has released its new ERJ Family 2.0 for X-Plane 12, a rebuilt-from-scratch, new generation of its Embraer regional jets, covering the ERJ 135, ERJ 140, ERJ 145, ERJ 145XR, and the Legacy 650.

The developer says the focus this time is a full, “real-world ops” systems simulation across the range, pairing a pilot-approved flight model with an authentic FMS and autopilot that supports procedures like holds, flyover waypoints, DME arcs, and intercepts.

A major new addition is AirComms, an on-screen guidance system designed to keep you moving without turning the cockpit into a checklist marathon, offering reminders, warnings, and step-by-step prompts from startup to shutdown, with the option to disable it once you are comfortable.

Version 2.0 also introduces a new avionics suite, with high-resolution PFD, MFD, and EICAS displays, synoptic pages, a custom navigation map, weather radar, Terrain Radar compatibility, and resizable pop-out displays.

The ERJ Family 2.0 also includes a fully integrated EFB, covering doors and ground services, weight and balance with SimBrief integration, take-off and landing calculations, interactive checklists, and aircraft settings, alongside AviTab integration.

X-Crafts notes that the passenger ERJs do not feature VNAV or autothrottle in real-world service, and these functions are not included here. Although some Legacy aircraft do have them, they are not currently simulated.

Visually, the aircraft features a retextured interior, updated gear modelling with optional clean or dirty textures, new lighting, rain effects, VR-ready cockpit improvements, and performance optimisation via LOD tuning.

X-Crafts’ ERJ Family costs USD 139.95 as a bundle, or individually at USD 69.95 (Legacy 650, E145/E145XR) and USD 59.95 (E135, E140), with an upgrade to the remaining four variants for USD 79.99. Full details are on the X-Plane.org Store product page, or click here.
