Drzewiecki Design Releases KEWR for X-Plane 12

Renowned developer Drzewiecki Design has released their highly anticipated Newark Liberty International Airport (KEWR) scenery for X-Plane 12.

KEWR serves as a major hub for United Airlines, as well as hosting significant operations for other major airlines in the USA, including JetBlue, Spirit Airlines, and American Airlines. Having first opened in 1928, the airport now serves as a major transatlantic hub, with frequent flights to Europe, the Middle East, and certain flights to Asia and South America. The airport serves as a key domestic gateway, featuring flights to cities such as San Francisco, Orlando, and Los Angeles. Lastly, KEWR sees significant cargo operations, which cements its spot as both a major passenger destination, but also an essential cargo hub, offering a variety of flights to do in the simulator.

KEWR contains numerous features such as full PBR texturing, night lighting, weather effects, and more. The full feature list can be viewed below.

  • High-quality rendition of KEWR Newark Liberty International Airport for X-Plane 12, featuring the latest airport layout with extensive detail across the entire airfield.
  • Optimized for performance, with X-Plane 12 native materials, full PBR texturing, advanced night lighting, and weather-responsive surface effects.
  • Detailed terminal interiors in selected areas, fully modeled control towers, maintenance facilities, and hangars, all designed with performance efficiency in mind.
  • Accurate runway and taxiway lighting systems, including ALSF approach lighting, PAPIs, REILs, stop bars, and high-intensity edge lighting.
  • Fully animated jetways using SAM, custom Visual Docking Guidance Systems (VGDS), animated marshallers, and custom animated ground service vehicles.
