FlyTampa Teases Copenhagen for X-Plane

Following an update to the airport in Prepar3D, Denmark's capital Copenhagen is headed for an entry in X-Plane courtesy of FlyTampa thanks to a cryptic teaser posted on the group's Facebook page today.

Copenhagen will mark the first FlyTampa airport for X-Plane in 2020, with an absence of seven months in Laminar's sim drawing to a close post the release of Heraklion (LGIR) in October 2019. Both Amsterdam and Copenhagen were initially slated for release in 2019 according to news from August of that year.

The image posted today - the group's new cover image on Facebook - shows a KLM 737 approaching the airfield with the Øresund Bridge visible in the backdrop. The sloped runway, lighting effects, heatblur and anti-aliasing artifacts all but confirm this is an X-Plane screenshot.

The timing of this teaser coincides with the launch of Prepar3D version 5 updates for their entire range of sceneries and comes only two weeks on from Copenhagen V2's release for Prepar3D.

Athens (top) and Thessaloniki (bottom) were released within just 13 days of each other last year.
