Weekly News Recap: May 6

Introduction

Welcome to Threshold’s weekly news recap the 6th of May, 2018. We aim for this weekly piece to be a collection of all the news that we didn’t get to, as well as place where we take a look back at all the headlines from the X-Plane world. The Threshold Weekly News Recap is released every Sunday.

In case you missed it:

JustFlight release their long-awaited Socata TB-10/20 package, FlightFactor update the ever-popular A320, and JustSim release UUWW Vnukovo!

AOA Simulations update Osprey to 1.2 and preview F-35A

Aoa have released version 1.2 of their V-22 Osprey, with the following changelog (available here)

  • - New animated 3D propellers
  • - Smoother transitions from airplane to helicopter mode

  • - Camera, map modes, OBS knob, annunciators, master caution and accept switches added
  • - Up to 12 liveries with PBR textures
  • - And many more...

Another thought from AOA this week: “Wait - don’t we already have an F-35 from AOA?” I asked. It seems to be double trouble though, as AOA Simulations reveal the first screenshots of the F-35A - their new project!

The news came via the AOA Facebook page, as a render of the weapon bay doors of the fighter jet (link).
