Aerosoft Publishes New Preview of East Frisia Islands Package

Friday, June 12, 2020

Following on from Aerosoft’s announcement in May of the German Islands 1: East Frisia package, the developer Stairport has released multiple new photos of the new scenery for X-Plane 11, focusing solely on the island of Juist.

With a population below 2,000, the Juist airfield (EDWJ) is mainly a General Aviation aerodrome with only one commercial operator; FLN. The airfield offers glider courses, which are exclusive in the entire group of the East Frisian Islands.

At this time it is unclear if islands other than Juist and the previously announced Wangerooge island will be included in the package. Another four islands in the East Frisian group have small general aviation airfields which developer Stairport could choose to include in the scenery.

Stairport also recently released their “SAM Suite” plugin, which allows the user an easy installation process and configuration of other addons and plugins within the Scenery Animation Manager. They have been converting Aerosoft’s sceneries from ESP platforms to X-Plane for the last two years.

As always, we will keep you updated on further developments. In the meantime, take a look at more of the screenshots in the original post.
