DC Designs Releasing F-15 Eagles Next Week

DC Designs have taken to their Facebook page to provide users with more information about the F-15 Eagle, their newest aircraft coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Via the announcement, the developer confirmed that the plane would be released on either the 20th or 21st of January (Wednesday and Thursday, respectively).

Starting off the announcement, the developer commented on the sounds for the aircraft, stating, “I'm not sure that I will have absolutely everything covered for the launch, but I'm very taken by the ability to change the sound levels depending on whether the canopy is open or closed.” DC Designs also complimented WWise, a sound creation program which is also being used to create the sounds for this addon.

The developer also touched upon his future work, stating, “(after launch) I will probably collapse in a heap for a few days after four solid months' work on this. After I have regained consciousness, work will begin on the Super Hornets.” DC Designs have said that they are hoping development on the Super Hornet will be much easier after the experience they gained with the creation of the Eagles.

An update to the texturing and modelling in the cockpit has been confirmed to be coming in the “near-future” by the developer. It was also stated that “updates will be made as feedback from the community comes in.”

All four variants of the planes are expected to be purchasable from the JustFlight store for $37.00; however, owners of the legacy (P3D and FSX) versions will be able to purchase the package for only $13.50. They are also hoping to have the product available on the Microsoft Store in the following weeks.
