The renowned expansion pack developer SimCoders has just released their latest Reality Expansion Pack for the recently released Thranda DHC-2 Beaver for X-Plane 11.

The de Havilland Canada DHC-2 is a single-engine piston STOL (short takeoff and landing) aircraft developed at the end of the Second World War. Although the aeroplane was originally designed for the civilian market, it was also highly successful on the military market for its outstanding capacities. Even though production ended in 1967, with over 1657 airframes produced, the Beaver is still widely used to operate in remote areas of the world. Viking Air now manufactures an upgraded version of the DHC-2 equipped with a Pratt & Whitney PT-6 engine.

As always with the developer, the pack upgrades all flying characteristics, engine performance adds a damage model and much more. The feature list is available below:

  • Accurate Pratt & Whitney R-985 simulator replica
  • Geared supercharger system
  • New ignition system
  • Enhanced pressure carburettor
  • New complex fuel system and startup procedure
  • Precise power output and fuel burn
  • Improved flight dynamics
  • Advanced damages and repairs model
  • Economy system

The full product description is available on the developer’s website

The SimCoders REP for the Thranda DHC-2 Beaver is now available on the X-Plane.org Store for $19.99.
