Nimbus Simulation Studios Addresses 2021 Roadmap

Scenery developer Nimbus Simulation Studios has posted an update to their Facebook page in regards to their upcoming development plans, an update to current projects in development and the tight-lipped silence the developer has given.

According to Nimbus, the past few months for the development team had been full of loss due to one of the development team members passing away. Nimbus then explained that it affected the team on a personal level and they had to take a break for a small period of time.

Later on, Nimbus later addressed that 2021 gave them an opportunity to improve their products. They participated in a project with a real aircraft company which in turn will help the developer create more “realistic flight models and experiences for the simulator.” Furthermore, in the update, it was briefly mentioned that further updates to the UH-1 aircraft for XP11, which was released in July of last year, will be receiving an update to improve functionality and bug fixes.

The current ongoing project at Nimbus is Washington Dulles International Airport (KIAD) for X-Plane 11. Nimbus has teased ongoing development screenshots in todays update, additionally, they mentioned that they are on track for release, however no official date was given. After the release of KIAD, the developer will announce the airports that will enter the scenery development portal.

At the end of the update, Nimbus gave thanks to its supporting customers for the support and also gave apologies for the delays that were experienced at the end of last year. If you would like to explore the scenery catalog by Nimbus, you can check out their .Org Store page, to explore available products for purchase. That's it for Nimbus, Threshold is closely following this development. Be sure to stay tuned!
