TorqueSim Cirrus SR22 Series Updated

Version 1.1 of TorqueSim's Cirrus SR22 Series released today, with the main drawcards pertaining to icing effects and engine simulation. A number of bug fixes were also published in the update.

In the three or so months since the aircraft's release, it has seen one update - back in August to resolve a number of post-release issues - however, v1.1 looks to be much more substantial, having seen a 'feature preview' in late September.

Icing has been implemented in v1.1.

Here's the list of new features added in this update:

  • G1000 Terrain Profile Indicator
  • Visual Icing Effects
  • Engine behavior improvements
  • Visual enhancements throughout
  • Pitch/Autopilot with flap handling improved
  • Engine fluctuation and CHT behavior tuning

A list of fixes put into action this update was also provided:

  • Better G1000 screen-space state tracker
  • Decal adjustments
  • AviTab show/hide ability
  • FMOD sound-pack improvements
  • Visor behavior
  • LIT texture adjustments
  • Some sub-systems were non-functional on certain MacOS versions
  • Fixed failed random generator handling
  • Pilot’s cannula visibility
  • Improved TKS behavior

The update is available via an email sent out by X-Aviation to all current customers of TorqueSim's SR22 Series - if you didn't receive an email, the developer recommends you visit this website and re-download the file.

New customers will have the SR22 at v1.1 standard once they purchase the product, which is available for $54.95 USD from X-Aviation.
