The Virtual Air Traffic Simulation Network (VATSIM) took to their Facebook page last Saturday, announcing the Cross the Pond Westbound 2021 date. The event will take place on Saturday, April 24th from 1100-2300z. They have also announced that coming up, users will be able to vote for the airports that will participate in the event.

The event, considered one of the most packed VATSIM events, presents pilots with a realistic experience of real world Air Traffic Control with congested airports and all levels of controllers. It’s always recommended that participants book a route as this will result in faster takeoff times and higher priority over pilots without a booking. Lastly, as the event is Westbound, pilots will be flying from Europe to North America.

No official date has been announced for when users will be able to vote for participating airports or when bookings will open. In the meantime, you can check out the original post on the groups Facebook Page
