FlyDesign Releases Their Four Airports for Microsoft Flight Simulator

FlyDesign’s full catalogue of airports – already available for Prepar3D and X-Plane 11 – have made their way into Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The four airports the developer has worked on include John Paul II Kraków-Balice International Airport, Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, Port Lotniczy Olsztyn Mazury, and Cannes - Mandelieu Airport.

The first three are located in Poland, whilst Cannes - Mandelieu sits in the south of France.

Writing to Facebook, FlyDesign describes their sceneries as “carefully crafted, to represent the most realistic look that is possible.

“All buildings are custom made with custom textures (no FS default buildings). Very detailed textures for taxiways and runways are also provided. Runway slope is carefully depicted based on actual AIP data.

“Hand-placed vegetation and custom 3D lighting is provided as well in our products.”

All four airports will receive updates in the future free of charge to the end user.

This means, for example, the new terminal expansion in Gdansk airport will be available to customers of that airport for free.

They continue: “At this moment we are preparing an update with movable jetways in EPGD and EPKK, as we wanted to release the airports as soon as possible, accordingly to your requests. Movable jetways should be provided within a week or two.

“Of course, as usual, most recent LIDO charts are provided for EPGD, EPKK and EPSY.”

Those who have bought the Prepar3D or X-Plane 11 copies of the airports can grab the MSFS counterpart for a 30% discount, applicable to any store. FlyDesign states users should email the developer with a valid code to get it.
