The latest airport to be joining the lineup of Fly X Simulations is Doncaster Sheffield Airport (EGCN). The developer currently has 3 airports available at their website, with two being freeware sceneries. Given in the announcement post was an initial feature list, some listed are Ultra high-resolution PBR textures as well as a 3d terminal interior (full list below).

Doncaster Sheffield Airport was formerly known as RAF Finningley, then getting passenger operations, it was renamed to Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield, since then, it has been renamed one last time to its current name, Doncaster Sheffield Airport. Situated 31Km west of Sheffield the airport handled over 1.2 million passengers in 2018. Interestingly, there is an Avro Vulcan belonging to the Vulcan To The Sky Trust permanently at the airport, where the charity is now trying to raise funds to create an exhibit of the aircraft.

Here’s the full initial feature list:

  • Ultra high-resolution PBR textures for all buildings and ground textures.
  • Highly detailed Terminal Interior.
  • Highly detailed, 3D Custom buildings.
  • 3D grass.
