Drzewiecki Design Released Warsaw Modlin Airport for MSFS

Drzewiecki Design has released another European airport with their visual rendition of Warsaw Modlin Airport (EPMO) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Like the other sceneries in Drzewiecki Design’s catalog, this rendition maintains the developer’s quality and performance in visualizing and modeling airports with complete perfection. This one runway airport located in Warsaw, Poland, services European carrier Ryanair exclusively and Business Jets/General Aviation. The Airport services around 3 million passengers annually and is the fiftieth busiest airport in the country it’s located in.

The history of this airport dates back to the 1920s when the airport was constructed but was not approved for use until the beginning of World War 2 when it was activated as an airfield for the Luftwaffe during the Occupation of Poland. After the war, the airport was deactivated for use by the Polish Ministry in 2000. Nine years later, it was announced that the airport had secured funding for civilian use and travel. Operations for the airport started in 2012, with two carriers involved, Ryanair and Wizz Air. Later, Wizz Air would not return to Warsaw Modlin due to runway repairs in December of 2012. However, Ryanair would remain the airport’s flagship carrier.

Drzewiecki Design has modeled the airport thoroughly, and every aspect is thought out. A blooming 3D interior is included, along with a beautifully modeled exterior to represent the airport. Drzewiecki used PBR materials to model the Tower and airport, along with dynamic lighting and night textures, while being FPS friendly to the user. Landmarks in the surrounding vicinity have also been modeled to improve the experience for the user. Drzewiecki included a complete feature list upon release:

  • High-quality model of EPMO Warsaw Modlin Airport, featuring the up-to-date version with extensive details throughout the whole airport
  • FPS-friendly design, with epic night textures, dynamic lighting, and PBR materials
  • High definition mesh including exact runway profile
  • Performance-friendly interior modeling at terminal buildings, hangars, and the control tower, advanced night lighting, custom animations
  • Several landmarks from the surrounding area

This scenery package retails on the simMarket store for 15 Euros. Drzewiecki Design has also included a discount for those that own other versions of Warsaw Modlin for different simulators. You can find all other scenery packages from Drzewiecki Design on their website or the simMarket Store.
