Orbx Releases Landmarks Adelaide City Pack for MSFS

Earlier this week, multi-sim developer Orbx Simulations released the newest product in its Landmarks series for Microsoft Flight Simulator, Landmarks Adelaide City Pack. The scenery brings the capital of South Australia to life with over 90 realistic landmarks, extensive terraforming, and custom night lighting.

“Adelaide is known for its picturesque coastline, diverse architecture, murals, and rich natural surroundings, and the Orbx City Pack brings this character-filled city to life for Microsoft Flight Simulator.”

Orbx has been working tirelessly to convert their existing lineup of best selling products and develop brand new products for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Products for the platform range from London City Airport in Europe, to their recently released cityscape Sydney.

A full list of features is as follows:

  • More than 90 custom landmark buildings and structures.
  • Many enhancements to the city and surrounding areas: improved vegetation and building placements, marinas, tall powerline towers, etc.
  • Detailed representation of the Port of Adelaide and adjacent tank farms and industrial areas
  • Extensive terraforming across the coverage area, enhancing how our custom landmarks sit within the simulator’s terrain.
  • Custom orthoimagery (~100 sq km) for the downtown and port areas as well as the St Vincent Gulf shoreline and salt evaporation ponds.
  • Custom night lighting based on real-world photography.

In addition to the features listed above, “the Landmarks technology also extends beyond the city and into the surrounding areas for the ultimate experience……. In true Orbx style”. To fully enjoy the scenery, the developer recommends the users take a flight over “the Barossa Valley and the scenic McLaren Vale” before venturing into the city center during sunset to witness the night-lighting of the metropolis.

Orbx’s Landmarks Adelaide City Pack can be purchased on Orbx Direct for $12.99 AUD.
