RIM&Co Returns With Detroit Metro Reveal

After straying away from the public for a long time, Rim&Company made a surprise announcement on X-Plane.org forums today, Ruhan Kuner, the developer behind R&C previewed Detroit Metro Airport, developed behind doors and the community eyes. Explaining the reasoning behind the silence, Ruhan thanks the community for supporting his work by purchasing his existing releases, and that the income received from the releases are used on improving the development methodologies and skills. "I reinvested most of the profits from my sales into new work and resources."

Suggested by "Aviator O8", KDTW was in the works for several months, Ruhan particularly have been working on improving the quality and detailing of scenery groundwork and their "PBR dynamics". Alongside with the development of DTW, Ruhan has invested time in updating his asset library which now includes an even wider range of custom buildings.

Moving towards a more emotional standpoint in his announcement, Ruhan took pride in the result of the terminal modelling of the airport, admitting that his skills has lacked specifically in terminal modelling and even that the outcome of the latest iteration from his improved skills has brought better terminal modelling, "it is currently not as good as the top guys". Ruhan hopes that the finished product does paint a respectable rendition of the real airport, highlighted by the advancement of his PBR texturing skills.

Starting from now, Ruhan also announced a different approach to getting the 3d modelling completed, especially in building modelling, when Minneapolis (his future scenery to be announced and previewed) is revealed, the building modelling will be outsourced to another developer to which Ruhan asks to expect the bar be raised for building modelling.

The airport is almost complete, with extensive testing in place with many notable X-Plane personalities giving a hand in the beta testing process; Jon Fly, Aviator O8, and Captain K-Man. Ruhan predicts that the airport pricing would be set around $20 USD, though this is not confirmed and finalised yet. After the testing and WT3 implementation has been completed, it will go online".
