FlyTampa Shares New Heraklion Previews

Popular scenery developer FlyTampa has shared five new previews of their upcoming Heraklion for X-Plane. The previews, shared by the developer with FSElite, show the terminal and ramp areas, along with the city of Heraklion.

These screenshots come after the release of FlyTampa’s Athens for X-Plane 11 just under two weeks ago, which can be purchased on their website for US $26.00.

Heraklion is the largest city on the Greek island of Crete with a population of about 305,490 and was announced as Europe’s fastest growing tourism destination for 2017. It had 3.4 million visitors in 2018, placing it at 19th busiest in Europe and 2nd busiest in Greece.

The developer also shared some information regarding Heraklion. Along with the screenshots, FlyTampa has said that the city of Heraklion will be modelled in great detail, with high optimisation for the best possible performance. Heraklion Airport will include a custom 3d terminal interior and a custom sloped runway matching that of its real-life counterpart.

Heraklion isn’t the only current project FlyTampa is currently working on for X-Plane with Copenhagen and Amsterdam coming by the end of the year. Las Vegas will also follow next year. Further information available here.
