New FSEnhancer 0.6 Previews, Status Update

Weather utility FSEnhancer last saw an update back in September, with the release of beta 0.6.3. A lengthy silence followed - however, Enrico del Bono and co. have resurfaced, sharing with fans an update on progress.

FSEnchancer is an addon for X-Plane 11 which completely rewrites  X-Plane 11’s sky and ground textures, as well as changing lighting. It simulates light scatter within the atmosphere, and this light scatter is dependent on the time of day. For instance, when the clouds are broken, there will be only select areas of light coming through the clouds.

The team have said that they have improved the overall lighting rendition, which creates a more natural feeling, especially within low light conditions. They also say that sky textures have been tweaked and new winter samples have been taken.

The most noticeable feature is the new rendition of broken clouds, as well as the new addition of scattered clouds.

Within the update, the FSEnchancer team announced a closed beta featuring these new features will be released on Sunday.
