Announced a whirlwind week ago, Orbx's latest entry in the TrueEarth series - their first in continental Europe for X-Plane - has now been released. Covering Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca and Formentera in the Balearic Islands, the region-based scenery is the first TrueEarth package outside of North America since January 2019.

According to the developer, "Each island has its own unique flair and charm, complete with Spanish styled buildings, points of interest and autogen. Using the latest data, each tree and building is placed correctly on each island for a truly authentic simulation experience. This is a visually stunning part of the world, and is excellent for all types of virtual pilots with detail for VFR pilots and great destinations for those in the jets."

Orbx's TrueEarth EU Balearic Islands contains the following features:

• Crisp and highly detailed 60cm/px aerial imagery
• Hand-edited texturing with colour corrections
• Over 150 POIs covering major hotels, attractions, historical buildings across all the Islands
• Accurate Spanish themed autogen
• Highly detailed mesh created from 5M LiDAR data

Interestingly, the company appears to have ditched the dual-version high-definition and standard-definition editions of TrueEarth sceneries, which was first introduced on the group's Washington TrueEarth region. A single package is now available on OrbxDirect for $34.95 AUD, which is approximately US$24.93, €21,20 or £19.08.
