It’s Monday once again, and time for another No Monday Monday to kickstart your week! This week, we will explore the mountains of south-central China, focusing on Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport, made by Kui.

Zhangjiajie Hehua International Airport, ZGDY, first opened in 1994 under the name Dayong Zhangjiajie Airport, three years after construction began. It was renamed to its current name in 1995.
The airport has experienced steady growth over its 30 years of operation. It started with around half a million passengers annually in 1994 and now accommodates approximately three times that number today. Its capacity sits at around five million passengers.

Zhangjiajie Hehua is the only international airport in the Wuling Mountains region and the second largest airport in Hunan.

Kui’s virtual recreation is simply stunning; it also doesn’t hurt that the airport is surrounded by beautiful Chinese nature. The airport features highly detailed buildings, even having the interiors of the terminal. The airport has a high level of detail throughout, and I will certainly be making an effort to visit this airport more frequently. As some icing on the cake, work has been done on the city to compensate for missing data. This scenery is top-notch all around

It is worth noting that the developer recommends using a mod to replace the default Bing satellite scenery with Google Maps imagery.
