No Money Mondays: Bozeman Yellowstone International by November Lima

Happy Monday, and welcome to another No Money Monday! This week’s free airport is Bozeman Yellowstone International!

Nestled in the beautiful Montana Rockies, Bozeman offers the perfect challenge for those looking for some mountainous winter operations on their air carrier routes. Although the town of Bozeman is small, with a population of 53,000, the airport it hosts is the busiest in Montana.

The scenery features runway 12/30 as the main runway. The 9,000-foot runway presents a challenge at an elevation of over 4,000 feet!

For those looking to engage in general aviation mountain operations, the scenery also features runway 11/29 and 11/29G. Yes, that’s a gravel strip right in the middle of a busy airline airport! Finally, the dinky runway 3/21 offers a general aviation crosswind option.

The scenery features a complete terminal, with plenty of gates to choose from as starting locations. There is also a modern-looking parking garage and a complete general aviation ramp!

This is truly impressive freeware. It was designed for X-Plane 11, but it works well in X-Plane 12 as well. You will need the MisterX Library, the CDB Library, and the OpenSceneryX Library to get the scenery working.

The scenery is available for download via the  X-Plane.org forums. Let’s hope a virtual ski vacation truly makes this a happy Monday for you.
