It’s time for another No Money Mondays, and this week we’re heading to central Norway, to take a look at Oppdal Airport Fagerhaug (ENOP) by ehindur, for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Fagerhaug is a small but active general aviation airfield, situated just north of the town of Oppdal, adjacent to the E6 corridor in Trøndelag. Nestled between wide valleys and the rugged terrain of the Dovrefjell mountain range, ENOP makes a destination for VFR flying, offering challenging weather, dramatic scenery, and a distinctly Norwegian atmosphere.

The real-world airfield has long been a hub for gliding and skydiving, with NTNU Flyklubb and NTNU Fallskjermklubb making frequent use of the runway throughout the year, thanks to particularly good thermals in the area. In addition to light aircraft and gliders, the airport is also capable of handling private jets, thanks to its 1,000-metre asphalt runway.

Custom-made hangars form the backbone of the airport environment, with several featuring interior modelling. The old control tower has also been recreated with a fully modelled interior, and is walkable in avatar mode.

Other features include various custom objects, PBR textures, and custom circling lights to support local procedures.

Oppdal Airport Fagerhaug (ENOP) by ehindur is available for free on Flightsim.to, for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Until next time!
