After a bit of a hiatus, we are finally back with another No Money Mondays, and today we are heading to northeastern Switzerland, checking out Hegmatten Airfield (LSPH), by ThreeSix Visuals.

This is a little gem, which I think will delight anyone who enjoys unpowered flight, circuits, and great scenery.

Also known as Winterthur Airfield, Hegmatten sits on the eastern edge of Winterthur, in the canton of Zürich. The real field is dedicated almost exclusively to glider operations, with powered flight only permitted when it directly supports gliding.

It is home to Segelfluggruppe Winterthur, and its location is ideal for soaring: roughly 30 kilometres from Lake Constance, and around 50 kilometres from the Alps, with easy routes towards the Black Forest, the Swabian Jura, or deeper into the high terrain to the south.

In the simulator, the add-on recreates this atmosphere with a clear focus on quality over scale. The package includes nearly 20 handcrafted 3D objects, all textured with high-quality PBR materials, optimised LODs, accurate night lighting, and great ground textures.

Hegmatten is available on Flightsim.to, and ThreeSix Visuals provides fully native versions for both MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024.
