Welcome back to another Monday and another edition of No Money Mondays. This time, we are focusing on Banjul, the capital of Gambia. We’ll be exploring Banjul International Airport (GBYD) for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, created by Vortex_SD.

Banjul International Airport was constructed during the Second World War. After the war, it primarily served commercial flights and has since remained the only commercial airport in The Gambia. In 1963, the airport underwent a significant rebuild, and the same buildings are still in use today. Currently, the airport features a single runway that is 11,811 feet long. It accommodates a variety of airlines, including Air Senegal, ASKY Airlines, Transair, Turkish Airlines, and others. These airlines facilitate the arrival of approximately 200,000 disembarking passengers and the departure of about 200,000 embarking passengers each year.

The scenery package by Vortex_SD includes features like an accurate representation of the airport, custom 3D models, night lighting, moving people, and moving animals.

The freeware Banjul International Airport is available at flightsim.to. If you're looking to fly somewhere new, this is your sign to visit Banjul!
