Welcome back to another edition of No Money Mondays! Today, we will explore the main airport in Bucharest. We'll be checking out rekinowy’s rendition of Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024. This airport serves the capital of Romania and accommodates over 17 million passengers each year.

The airport began as a civil airfield before transitioning to a military airfield. It was not until 1965 that it became a commercial airport. After this conversion, a new passenger terminal was constructed in 1970, followed by the addition of a second runway in 1986. Since then, the airport has continued to grow, with further expansions and upgrades. Today, it serves as a hub and operating base for airlines such as TAROM, Ryanair, and Wizz Air, while also accommodating a variety of other airlines flying to destinations around the world.

The scenery package is filled with features such as an accurate airport layout, handcrafted models of airport buildings, handcrafted aprons, and handcrafted taxiways. More features are planned, including terminal interiors.

The freeware version of Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport can be found on flightsim.to. If you're looking to explore something new, testing out this Romanian airport should be on your to-do list.
