It is the start of a new week, which means another edition of No Money Mondays. Today, we head to the Caribbean to take a look at Martinique Aime Cesaire International Airport, created by YvesP6 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.

Opened in 1950 and named after celebrated author and politician Aimé Césaire, the airport is situated in Le Lamentin, a suburb of Fort-de-France. Sitting just 16 feet above sea level, the airport features a 9,843-foot runway and serves both civilian and military traffic. It is a key hub for long-haul flights from France and has even welcomed Concorde in the past.

Aimé Césaire International hosts airlines like American Airlines, Air France, Corsair International, and Air Caraïbes. It offers routes to Paris, Miami, Montreal, Rome, and many other Caribbean destinations, making it a major regional gateway.

YvesP6’s new MSFS 2024 version builds on his previous release for MSFS 2020. Version 1.0.0 introduces improved LOD optimisation, new textures, and over 80 custom 3D objects. Notable additions include a detailed Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting building, a military hangar, and a custom ILS shelter.

The scenery features custom ground textures, terminal buildings, hangars, and some interior modelling. The general aviation apron is also depicted.

For a change of pace in a vibrant tropical setting, this Caribbean airport delivers detailed visuals and solid performance. You can find it on flightsim.to.
