Welcome back to No Money Mondays! Today we’re headed for North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, to discover AeroX Simulations’ rendition of Münster Osnabrück Airport (EDDG) for X-Plane 12.

Münster Osnabrück Airport is situated near Greven, approximately 15 miles north of Münster and 22 kilometres south of Osnabrück. Opened in 1972, it serves northern Ruhrgebiet, western and southwestern Lower Saxony, Emsland, Westphalia, and parts of the Netherlands. The airport houses a single terminal building, with the apron accommodating up to mid-sized aircraft, such as Boeing 737s and Airbus A320s. Airlines such as Lufthansa and Eurowings operate scheduled routes, alongside numerous seasonal charter services to the Mediterranean and other leisure destinations. In 2023, the airport handled nearly 1 million passengers, ranking it among Germany’s smaller international airports.

AeroX Simulations’ rendition delivers a detailed recreation of the entire airfield, including custom models of the terminal, tower, and multiple hangar structures. The single terminal features a fully modelled interior, with crowds, baggage trolleys, and signage. The General Aviation Terminal is also modelled. All buildings feature high-resolution textures, PBR and full night-lighting. Custom orthophotos are also provided.

The scenery leverages XP12’s enhanced weather engine and supports snow accumulation on rooftops and the new forestry textures. The scenery also includes animated ground traffic.

AeroX Simulations’ Münster Osnabrück Airport for XP12 is available for download on the X-Plane.org forum.
