Welcome back to No Money Mondays! It's Monday, which means it's time for a new No Money Mondays. This week, we're visiting the Norwegian town of Ålesund to explore artogsta’s version of Ålesund Airport, Vigra (ENAL) for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Located on the island of Vigra in the municipality of Giske, Ålesund Airport opened in 1958. Since then, the airport has steadily increased in popularity. In 1986, a new terminal building was constructed, and the runway was extended. Subsequent upgrades in 2009 and 2010 included a larger arrival and departure hall, followed by an extension to the international departure hall. Currently, a new project is underway to further expand the internal area of the airport by 2000 m². The airport operates one runway and is known for its strong winds from the Atlantic Ocean. It offers a variety of international and domestic destinations served by airlines such as Norwegian Air Shuttle, Scandinavian Airlines, Widerøe, KLM, and others. The airport handles over 1 million passengers annually and sees around 17.000 aircraft movements.

The scenery package for Ålesund Airport offers custom-made models, runway lights, taxiway markings, and more. An official GSX profile is also available.

The Norwegian airport of Ålesund is available for free at flightsim.to.
