We're Looking for New X-Plane & Microsoft Flight Simulator Writers and Reviewers
May 23, 2020
At Threshold we yearn to be the best in the business of X-Plane - and now Microsoft Flight Simulator - news, opinion and editorial. A one stop shop for flight sim content, if you will. We strive to be unbiased in our reporting and to stand as the voice of reason and truthfulness to the flight sim community.
We've grown massively since our launch only two years ago, from nothing to being the largest X-Plane news site in the world. To keep up with the ever growing community, our dedicated team tracks sources from across the world, and we want you to join our ranks!
Passion on Paper
At Threshold Editorial, we're looking for talented writers to fill two types of positions with us: news writers and reviewers. Candidates would fit in to our current team and work closely to deliver world class news and editorial content for our website.
If you have a passion for flight simulation and would like to share it with the wider community, please, consider joining us! Along with a position on our friendly, globally-based team, we also offer numerous perks to our writers, including behind-scenes-information about the latest products, early access to aircraft and scenery alike, plus much more.
Think this is a bit of you? Check out our revamped 'join' section for more information. Please, don't hesitate to ask questions if you have any, we'd be more than happy to answer any questions you have about joining our team.
A New Frontier: Threshold Media
Along with Threshold Editorial positions, we're also searching for talented videographers and video script writers to form the basis of our new Editorial sub-section: Threshold Media. This area will be entirely composed of video and audio content dedicated to flight simulation, whether it be in-depth tutorials, thought provoking podcast content or first looks at brand new products - we're open to anything.
We're looking for a crack team of video makers to help us in making a one stop shop for flight sim video content, building on the progress made thus far with the Inflight podcast and Type Rating video series.
No, candidates don't need to have an arbitrary number of YouTube subscribers to apply - just a passion for simulation and making great, high-quality videos. For script writers, a keen eye for grammar and a good work ethic is all that's required!
Sound like you? Please, don't hesitate to get in contact with us! For more information, check out the Media application page here to apply.
Threshold encourages informed discussion and debate - though this can only happen if all commenters remain civil when voicing their opinions.
